i just hand feed them they dont use there tail very often at all and when they do the sting is pretty mild.
Yeah, I was just giving mealworms a try for a little bit.

I ended up trading this scorpion with a friend who had a female (she was looking to breed in a little while, but she had two females). This one *loves* to hunt down here prey; It's pretty fantastic. I'm using pinheads for now, as I'm enjoying watching her grab handfuls of crickets.

Also, in terms of heat pads, I need a little help. My apartment is typically around 80 degrees, so I was hoping to get a heating pad. However, I can't a find a good one that will fit a 5.5 gallon tank (measurements are ~8" x 10"). There's an Exo Terra heat pad (Heat Wave Desert) that would fit, but it could run a little hot (8w for a smaller tank could dry everything out, couldn't it?). Would it be easier to get a larger pad at 4w and mount it on the side of the tank?

Also, to address me earlier issues with taking UV light pictures, I finally found a good setting. Now if only Sele would stay still more often. Here are the results:

I submitted the last one for the February Picture of the Month thread, mostly because I really like how crisp it came out.
