I found this from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine:

Unfortunately, there is no known cure or effective treatment for FIP at this time. Some treatments may induce short-term remissions in a small percentage of cats; however, FIP is a fatal disease. Treatment is generally aimed at supportive care, such as good nursing care and nutrition, and alleviating the inflammatory response of the disease. Cats with FIP are often treated with corticosteroids, cytotoxic drugs, and antibiotics. Supportive care may also include fluid therapy, draining accumulated fluids, and blood transfusions.

Sorry to hear of this sad news but at least you provide him with a happy and loving home to spend the rest of his days in. My thoughts are with you.

Jet was sitting next to me yesterday rubbing his precious, little face on my arm and other than being underweight, he just doesn't seem sick.

I was looking online just now and found this (written by Dr. Diane D. Addie)...

When I first came to Feline Infectious Peritonitis research, FIP was an incurable condition. Most reported "recoveries" were probably curable conditions wrongly diagnosed as FIP. With the introduction of feline interferon we now see a glimmer of hope: treatment can occasionally effect a remission, sometimes for months and about 25% of cases recover completely.

Feline interferon is one of his medications!!!

I never saw anything promising about FIP before. 25% is a great number when you were given 0%.

Thank you. I already had hope (never give up hope), but it's great to know that someone out there has seen recoveries.

After his diagnosis, I had pictures taken...

Well this morning a black cat crossed the street in front of me. And I thought wow! just as well I am not superstitious.

Portugal won 7-0 against North Korea and I managed to get cheap insurance for my car, so apart from scratching my car this morning (not paying attention while parking), I think my day is going pretty well.

Anyway my point is I agree with Walk Alone black cats are the best of all cats LOL

EDIT: I wish you cat all the best recovery. He looks very nice and playful!
